We dare you to find a competitor that engineers a hoop system from the macro level down to the microscopic.
Ever heard of hot dip galvanizing? It’s one way we protect your court from the elements and rust.
Hot dip galvanization dates all the way back to 1742, when French chemist P.J. Malouin demonstrated the process by coating iron with molten zinc. It’s been repeatedly proven as an effective way to protect metals and alloys from rust and corrosion, and is significantly thicker than other plating methods like electroplating that are more likely to fail, leaving metals exposed to the elements.
But we don’t stop there. As a next step we powder coat the galvanized steel, creating a double layer of protection. This Synergistic effect protects the galvanized coated surface, and prevents under-film corrosion from attacking the powder coat.
It’s a method where both coatings complement and protect each other, and we’re the only manufacturer that offers this level of protection to your in ground basketball system. No detail is too small in designing these hoops, because even the smallest threat (like rust) can topple the best of metals if you don’t prepare for it.
Of course, duplex coating is only the start of it. Check out some of our other blogs on other ways our basketball hoop systems are exceptional from the rest.
