Q: What do you serve but not eat?
A: A Tennis Ball.

Ok, technically a volleyball would work for this joke too. As would a lot of sports. But this blog post is about how cool our backyard tennis courts are, and why you should totally buy one if you enjoy the sport. Tennis balls will have to suffice as the answer for now. (On a separate but related note, we’ll probably reuse this joke in our upcoming backyard volleyball court post, so brace yourselves.)

Joking aside, this article is different from most. Normally we’d use a stronger word than “cool” to describe our courts. We’d prefer to say that a Courts & Greens backyard tennis court would be an addition to your home you’d absolutely love. Love is ideal, until you realize ‘love’ is a term that means absolutely nothing to a tennis player who keeps score. It’s an unfortunate restriction on our wording, but we didn’t worry too much, because other benefits existed.

For example: Tennis is one sport that lets you raise a racket without having to worry about your neighbors filing a noise complaint. In fact, your neighbors won’t even fret the occasional tennis ball landing in their backyard so long as you invite them over for the occasional round. Or if they own a dog who likes tennis balls. Or both.

Plus, our courts offer an economic advantage. Drives to the park or gym would be a thing of the past. You’d save money on gas, vehicle wear, and time driving. You’d gain more opportunities to practice and play as well.

And, yes. We realize this reasoning could work for a variety of sports, not just tennis. Which is why we are experts in all kinds of indoor and outdoor gaming courts.

In the meantime, check out our backyard tennis courts, and get ready to enjoy the upcoming summer!
