This holiday season, it’s time you rethink your Christmas/Holiday/Pagan/Saturnalia tree the same way you rethought your lawn.
Whatever your preferred nomenclature, if the idea of bringing a dead, drying piece of tinder into your home and wrapping it in cheap electrical lights is more festive than a fire hazard, this article probably isn’t for you.
But, if you hate dead pine needles, sticky tree sap, and shelling out your hard earned cash for what basically amounts to raw firewood, we have a couple alternative ideas:
Think smaller, potted, living trees that are planted outside after the holiday season. Did we mention trees are a great addition to a turf lawn? And who says your neighborhood can’t benefit from more trees planted as well?
It’s a killer Radiohead song, and also a viable alternative to chopped dead ones. Buy a reusable plastic tree you can dust off every year, you’ll find they stay green even longer than evergreens!
From our family to yours, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season, surrounded by friends, family, courts, and greens!
